Peterson is said to want new deal

As a rookie, Peterson averaged 5.6 yards. In the year of 2008, he averaged 4.8 yards and last 4.4. The last figure might be the result of a weak offensive line, which had not expected by the Minnesota Vikings. However, the linemen were not the only players to blame. His success on the field means he has already achieved many of the incentives contained in that rookie contract, from which he should get $7 million in 2010. However, he is not being paid that much. That is the reason why there is rumored that his missed the Vikings camp.

This is one edition related with Peterson’s absence. Another is that the Brett Favre rule should be applied to him. Both of them are under the contract with the Vikings. But the reasons for their absence are different. As Favre was injured last season, he has to receive the surge. To the opposite, Peterson attended the annual day in his honor. He enjoyed his time with the young athletes in Adrian Peterson jersey. That seems to be the reason why Childress was irked. However, it is impossible for him to punish the running back not to play this season as Peterson is expected much this season especially when Favre’s return has not been certain.
