Connie Payton, the wife of Walter Payton, the former running back in Chicago Bears from 1975 through 1987, is running the Walter and Connie Foundation in her way in order to continue Walter’s hope to make differences in people’s life especially the life of children. The football was kept in our hearts for his images in Walter Payton jersey forever although he passed away eleven years ago.
According to Connie, when Walter was alive, he always enjoyed the joy taken to him by his children and other children. He was not only a good husband but also one great father. He took much time with their children in order to make them happy. According to Jarrett Payton, their son, Walter had great influences on his life. Because of the impacts of his father, he has come back to Chicago to live with his family.
At the moment, the foundation is undergoing some difficulty because they hope to get much better goods for all children. Connie began to run the foundation by what she had learned before she got married. It is lucky for her that she insisted on receiving education in spite that her parents did not hope her to do that. For her, the value of family is the important point.
